Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church (FAPC) needed a new site that would allow them to streamline their publishing process. The prior site had many of the trappings of its era: excessive and repetitive UI, daily modules and roundups, and too many required elements for posts.
We developed a design system to provide a set of content blocks that could be used to create both very simple pages as well elaborate long reads, depending on the content and assets available.
A lot of thought was also put into ordering information, with clean staff directories and straightforward event and content listings.
The page system uses content blocks and CSS Grid to flow in content order at smaller sizes, and expand into more complex layouts on larger screens.
